My partner and I are recent Stanford PhD grads subleasing our 1 bedroom apartment in Menlo Park, available approximately mid September through late December 2020. The exact dates are flexible. The apartment is fully furnished (couch, table, chairs, TV, queen-sized bed, a desk...) and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking: pots, pans, cutlery, bowls, plates, etc. The apartment is a quick 2 minute walk to the Menlo Park Caltrain station. It is also a 15-20 minute bike ride to Stanford campus, and a 5 minute walk to Santa Cruz Ave (Downtown Menlo Park) with lots of restaurants and shops. Trader Joes, Safeway, and Draegers market are all a quick walk away. The apartment is spacious, and looks out on a shared outdoor patio area that is not usually used by any other building occupants so it ends up being very private. Large windows, hardwood floors, and newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom.
Apartment is on the ground floor of a quiet and small complex. The other tenants in the complex are older and not students, so we are looking for someone quiet and laid back---NO PARTIES or gatherings in the apartment...
Since this is a short-term stay, we ask that the total rent and a $750 security deposit be paid upfront in full at the time the tenant receives the keys. The security deposit will be returned to the sublessee in full at the end of the rental period given there is no damage to the property. We also ask that the sublessee provide proof of a renter's insurance policy (these can be purchased for ~$10/month from most insurance brokers).
