We're looking for two new members for our cooperative living community!

Idyllwild is located in Los Altos Hills (~10 min drive from Stanford's campus, ~25 min bike). The house is currently nine people, just over 50% Stanford affiliates, mostly students & tech workers. Most people in the house have prior experience with cooperative living. We are all invested in building intentional community, which is more important than ever in this time of uncertainty and social isolation. The group is full of nerds, bakers, makers, and all-around cool people-- we would love to have even more housemates interested in improving the space and contributing to the community. We have a communal grocery system facilitated by a Costco membership (bulk shopping = less risk of COVID exposure), which makes it easy to cook together spontaneously as well as for our weekly house dinners. Lots of board game nights, cooking & baking, late-night hot tub hangouts, making use of the garage pool table, and sampling the ample shelf of bottles left behind by previous tenants ;)

Rent is in the $600-650/month range and will likely stay there even as people move in and out. Our current opening is in a triple, which is the largest room and has its own shower and balcony access. As the house is majority male, however, other house members are willing to shift rooms in the case that a good candidate who would improve the gender diversity of the house is only interested in a single. Rent for a single would be ~$800-850. Ideal move-in date would be before or around October 1, and we have a preference for tenants who can commit to staying at least through June.
