Come live with two caring, kind, and energetic young people in a light-filled townhouse in downtown San Jose. This is an awesome living situation in a beautiful, spacious townhouse. I am only moving out to be closer to my partner and some very close friends up north, but I have absolutely loved my time here and highly recommend the house and the roommates.

The open room in our house is the most affordable, $850/month: a well-illuminated, small and comfortable space with a view of the lemon tree in our backyard, available starting Dec. 1 or possibly earlier. All utilities (internet, water, electricity - landlady pays garbage) come to about $80-120 a month. Bathroom is shared with one other, easygoing and considerate roommate. The room comes unfurnished. NOTE: If you are a couple or simply want a bigger space, we could offer you the master bedroom with a full bathroom and walk-in closet for $1350/month. Please inquire directly with me.

Roommates are two women in their early thirties, an early childhood educator who loves the outdoors and stays active in the community, and an engineer who moonlights as a member of an improv theater troupe (now virtual!). We honor each other's personal space and also love to spend time together, including sometimes working out together in the evenings. Roommates are clean but relatively relaxed - we rotate communal chores and value a clean space, but extend flexibility and understanding to each other if/when life gets intense. LGBTQ-welcoming, of course. Previous tenant (me) is in her mid-twenties and works at a social justice nonprofit in San Jose.
