A 110 sq ft bedroom will be available in our shared 3 bed/ 2 bath house starting January 1st.

We are conveniently located in Palo Alto's beautiful Barron Park neighborhood, a 2–3 mile bike ride away from Stanford campus and a few minutes from Stanford VA. The house has a large, open-plan kitchen with everything you may need, furnished common areas, laundry, a patio with a BBQ grill, and a vegetable garden. We have been working from home part- or full-time for most of this year, and the house has proven a comfortable place to do so. The outdoor space and the walkable neighborhood have been great for exercise/walks/runs.

The San Antonio shopping center (Safeway, Target, Trader Joe’s) is a ~10 min drive away, with smaller stores and take-out options on Cal Ave and El Camino within walking/biking distance.

The bedroom has hardwood floors and a walk-in closet and can come unfurnished or furnished with a desk, chair, full-size bed, and storage chest. The bathroom is shared with two other housemates (who are temporarily away, meaning that you would be sharing the bathroom with a subtenant or have it to yourself some of the time).

Your potential housemates are two couples (researchers at Stanford and Genentech, a classical pianist, and a cabinet maker) and a friendly indoor-outdoor cat. We have all lived here for several years and appreciate both the house and the people we share it with. As mentioned above, two of the roommates are temporarily away due to remote work arrangements; once they return, you would need to be ok with piano practice during the day. LGBT friendly is a must.

We are looking for another professional or postdoc/student who is considerate, friendly, and clean. We all follow basic COVID precautions (masks when at work/in public, hand washing) and expect you to do the same.

A long-term or month-to-month lease are both possible. Utilities range between ~$75–120 per person.
