$855
TL;DR:
We have 2 unfurnished rooms available in north Palo Alto. There is a twin bed and wardrobe which can be claimed; first come first served! The house is nicely situated close to Stanford, downtown, and the 101, making a commute to campus, Mountain View, or San Francisco an absolute breeze. The home has a pool and hot tub in the back yard, and a pool table near the dining area/kitchen. There are 3 current occupants: 2 older (45-50yo) adults with careers in law and mechanical engineering, and me, a member of research staff in Stanford's Psych Department. All are taking COVID seriously.
The rooms are both $855 plus utilities (~$125 per person) per month, with a safety deposit of $855. The house has a washer and drier as well as a full galley kitchen with three (3!) separate fridges/freezers as well as a dishwasher. One housemate has his own bathroom, but the rest share one, which was recently remodeled and has a double sink. There are no house rules regarding dietary restrictions or cooking times (though there is a vegetarian!). Parking is free in the drive way and permitted on the street (the house gets two to use). There is no year commitment, just that you help the house find a new roommate once you decide to leave.
There is a tiny dog and an outside cat; the dog is skittish but has a sweet heart!
Room A is south facing and gets a nice amount of light. It also has nice shelves, a door-length mirror on the closet, and an AC unit for the summer! Room B is north facing and has a wall of glass with a sliding door that leads directly to the backyard.
The house is undergoing some improvements as well. New carpeting was put into the living room and is on its way to the rest of the house, including the 2 rooms! ETA a few weeks. Rooms are also being given a deep clean. The garage is being converted from storage space into usable space (a carpentry workshop).
