Our housemate is moving out, so we're looking for someone interested in renting a bedroom by the end of March or early April.
The house is a 2-story unit in a duplex next to Shoreline Blvd. Downtown Castro St. and Google are 10 minutes away by bike and less than 5 minutes by car. A Safeway and restaurants are less than half a mile down the road. The neighborhood is nice, with friendly neighbors and calm streets. There is extra parking for guests less than 90 seconds from the front door.
Our house has a full kitchen, living room, dining room, garage, 3 bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms. The bedrooms are upstairs from the living areas. Two of the bedrooms share a bathroom; one of those is available. It has a walk-in closet and faces west. The bed in it is also for sale if you're interested.
Rent is ~$1260/month and utilities total ~$100/month per person and include air conditioning, heating, and 100 Mbps Wi-Fi. We are under a single month-to-month contract from a property management company which handles any important repairs and other issues. They offer a secure web portal for paying your portion of the house rent by bank account. You can also send checks to their office in San Jose.
As a housemate, you have full access to the kitchen, storage in the garage, and common areas. Current renters are A, a software developer and DIY enthusiast; and M, a Stanford researcher. We are friendly and like to chat when we catch each other around the living areas. We don't have any restrictions on gender or hobbies or anything else. We would be glad to answer any questions and give a tour by Zoom or in person.
