Pipeline TD/ Software Developer - Brud

Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To be part of the team developing in-house tools to support Brud’s CG production with a particular focus on automation, animation and real time software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Create scripts, tools and software that interfaces and workflows.
Be an active planner, developer and contributor to the overall pipeline.
Mentor junior technical directors & be a knowledge resource for artists.
Create and update documentation explaining our processes and tools

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND STRENGTHS:

Strong coding skills, primarily Python and C++
An understanding of modern devops tools such as Docker and S3
Strong working knowledge of 3D concepts, software and pipelines
Skills in motion capture, visual effects, or Unreal development preferred
Strong ability to collaborate and communicate across teams in person and virtually

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

Smoothly integrate changes with the existing pipeline
Take ownership of projects and make suggestions for increased efficiency
Early spotting of any potential production issues
On time delivery of work to keep productions running smoothly
Clear communication with end users, TDs and department supervisors
