We are looking for someone to join us in our 3br/2ba upper unit of a duplex in sunny Silver Terrace (bordering Portola and Bayview neighborhoods). Room + bathroom is available July 1st. Our upper unit is accessed via 2 flights of 10 stairs.

We live in a duplex that is rented as a house. We know and socialize with our housemates downstairs, and share a garage & a backyard. Our house is majority POC and our unit is all QPOC.

The 44 and 24 bus lines stop across the street. There are multiple grocery stores (including Grocery Outlet), Walgreens, and new turf fields a 20 minute walk from the house or quick bus ride away, and a mini park a couple blocks up the street.

Alissa is a PhD Candidate who builds houses with Habitat for Humanity on the weekend and loves to cycle. At home Alissa can be found building things with cardboard, cooking from scratch, watching Star Trek, or laughing with Jax.

Jax (she/they) is a motorcyclist who’s an electric vehicle enthusiast and works in the industry. At home Jax can be found working on their motorcycles, tending to her garden and compost in the backyard, reading, or laughing at the absurd with Alissa.

In a housemate we’re looking for someone who

• enjoys a good laugh
• is considerate of others (i.e., with regards to shared spaces, cleaning, noise)
• can communicate honestly and in a timely fashion
• likes a quieter home
• is race and class conscious
