Selling a Hessaire Swamp Cooler in good condition. Bought last year, used one season before we were gifted an air conditioning unit.

Pros: it can be moved around the apartment and doesn’t need to vent out a hose through the window. It works pretty well at cooling down a room quickly. It also has a standalone fan feature for when you want to pause the water element.

Cons: you have to fill the tank with water periodically and it needs fresh air to keep the humidity down while you run it – usually we just would open a window and keep the screen closed. You also have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t leak. There’s a spot on the side where the filters occasionally poke out and drip water. If you push the filter in/watch it when you first start it, it’s usually fine - but I’m also happy to throw in a boot tray we used to put under it in case it did leak. It also sometimes fails to recognize that you’ve refilled the water tank. You just have to jiggle it a little to reset the sensor.

We bought it new for $300 last year. The extremely low price reflects the idiosyncrasies of the unit, but it’s still in great condition. $50 OBO.
