I'm a female PhD student at Stanford looking to fill two rooms starting sometime between June 14th and July 1 (both available starting June 14th) and extending for a year to next July 1.
I'm currently renting a 3Br/2Ba 1,300 sq ft single family house in a cute and quiet neighborhood near Campbell (between Cupertino and West San Jose). The house is about 27 min from Stanford campus by car, 1 mile from the Pruneyard shopping center, and 13 min from Santana Row. The smaller room will share a bathroom with myself, and the master will have the smaller bathroom to themselves. Both bedrooms are private.
There is a nice front lawn and a concrete back patio, and the house is near multiple parks! We also have plenty of street parking.
About the rooms:
- Private master room (can easily fit a queen - $1095/month + utilities) or private smaller room (can fit a full - $995/month + utilities)
- Utilities typically average to $100/month (slightly more in winter and less in the summer)
- Security deposit (one month's rent, either $1095 or $995 depending on the room chosen) which will be refundable (except $100 for carpet cleaning, etc upon move out) as long as there are no damages
- One shared bathroom (with myself) and one private smaller bathroom for master bedroom
- Semi furnished rooms (smaller room has a closet, book case, and a dresser set and the master has a closet, dresser, nightstand, queen bed frame, and older desk). The furniture can also be put in storage if you would like to furnish it yourself.
- Fully stocked kitchen/appliances (electric stove, dishwasher, oven, microwave, pots and pans) & small dining space
- Spacious shared living room (furnished, though will be changing the furniture as the current furniture in the pictures is my roommate's who is moving out)
- Washer and dryer in unit
- Street parking
I am looking for:
- Preferably female (though am open to people of other genders)
- Friendly and respectful to others and the common area
- Clean/tidy (very important as I am a clean and organized person)
- Non smoker
- No heavy drinking, no drugs
- No pets (sorry, landlord doesn't allow)
- No parties (neighborhood is very quiet, and mostly families)
- Quiet after 11 pm, though generally the house is fairly quiet during the day as well
- Will promptly clean up after themself in the kitchen (e.g. don't leave dirty dishes in the sink or food out)
