** Job Summary **

In this position you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and analyzing digital and mixed signal hardware systems. This position will report to the Manager, Hardware Engineering.

** Responsibilities **

• Provide complete, accurate, meticulous documentation for each project.
• Design PCBs for embedded systems such as robotics, high-speed communications, and data acquisition boards

• Power budgeting, thermal management, and power supply design
• Mixed-signal circuit designs including groundplanes and controlled impedances
• Schematic entry
• Trouble shooting and failure analysis
  • Design and build fixtures to demonstrate feasibility of design
  • Oversee and guide board layout
  • Manage board fabrication and assembly vendors
  • Highly desirable experience with mixed-signal design
• Broad variety of embedded microcontrollers (e.g., PIC, ARM)
• FPGA experience (Verilog/VHDL, implementation, bring-up, debug)
• Familiarity with analog and mixed-signal design and debugging
• Interface design (UI, sensors, etc.)
• RF experience a big plus

** Education, Experience and Skills **

• BS with 6-7+ years of experience or higher degrees in Electrical Engineering, Co-op experience preferred
• Altium, Orcad, Simulink, Hyperlinks, Powerlinks
• Experience working in FDA regulated environment is a plus
