The Lighthouse Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting disadvantaged youth, is seeking an Executive Director to lead our organization for the next 6-9 months on a part-time basis. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, developing and implementing fundraising strategies, and leading outreach efforts to build partnerships with schools and community organizations.

The position will require approximately 10-15 hours of work per week, with a pay rate of $40/hour.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and direction to The Lighthouse Initiative:

Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the organization's mission and goals
Build partnerships with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote awareness of the organization's programs and services
Oversee the organization's day-to-day operations, including managing staff and volunteers, overseeing financial management and reporting, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations

Create and manage budgets, as well as monitor and report on financial performance

Lead the development and execution of strategic plans and initiatives that align with the organization's mission and goals

Represent the organization to the public, including speaking at events and engaging with media outlets

Qualifications:

Previous experience leading student organizations and/or in the nonprofit space preferred
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and volunteers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and represent the organization effectively
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
