LARGE BEDROOM

$1400/mo. including utilities for a 13' x 14' bedroom with private entry. The bedroom is very large and comes unfurnished (or with a small bed if desired). It includes a built-in desk with keyboard drawer, lots of shelving, storage and a large built-in closet (pictured). Utilities and household expenses are included in rent. You'll have access to an upgraded bathroom and garage for storage if needed.

YOU:

We're looking for a respectful, tidy, male housemate (due to shared bathrooms). You must be the type to clean up after yourself; keeping all common areas clean (especially the kitchen and bathrooms) and free of personal clutter. You must be responsible to pay rent on time each month without exception. The house is a smoke-free and drug-free environment.

HOUSEMATES:

We currently have four postdocs and staff working in various fields at Stanford and one tech professional. The environment is quiet, clean, collegial and friendly. We rotate house chores weekly. Overnight guests are discouraged.

THE HOUSE:

The house is about 2500 sq. ft. with wood flooring covered by rugs. All the bedrooms have recent carpeting and paint. There are two bathrooms in the house renovated with ceramic tile, new toilets, sinks and showers. We have a large central living room with a 75" HD TV home theater system for movie nights. The kitchen is also newly remodeled with ceramic tile flooring, solid quartz countertops, new cabinetry, dishwasher and built-in microwave. There is a high-end gas range and two refrigerators. The dining room seats 8-people. We have a dedicated laundry room with washer and dryer. The backyard is very large with comfortable outdoor furniture. There’s plenty of parking in the driveway.

THE LOCATION:

The house is located 3/4 of a mile from the Menlo Park CalTrain station. Stanford’s Campus is a 30-minute walk and downtown Palo Alto is a 10-minute walk with coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Downtown Menlo Park is even closer. Trader Joe’s and Safeway are also within easy walking distance. The house is located in a highly desirable, upscale, centrally located Menlo Park neighborhood in the heart of Silicon Valley.
