Hi everyone,
My roommate (M26) and I (M27) are looking for someone to rent a private room and bathroom (link) in a 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom townhouse in Sunnyvale starting in August. The house is very modern (built in 2012), has AC throughout, and is 1700 square feet. We also have a two-car garage and lots of storage space. The shared spaces include the kitchen, which has a gas stove and new appliances, and the family room, which is open, gets great light and has a balcony with a grill that we share.
The location is wonderful with multiple parks within walking distance (Muwekma Park, Swegles Park and Wiser Park) and local grocery stores Taj Mahal and Chavez Market are less than a mile away. Also, Costco and the Movement Climbing Gym are only a 5 minute drive away! We are close to the 101 and Lawrence Expressway with quick access to the airport (SJC is 10 minutes away). Surprisingly, given this central location the neighborhood is quiet and well insulated. If you are worried about noise, in the attached slides I’ve included the Department of Transportation noise map.
My roommate and I are laid back, work consistent hours (~9-7pm), and enjoy being active and playing board games on the weekends to relax. We value our shared spaces being tidy and clean so that everyone feels comfortable inviting over guests and can easily make use of the space whenever they want.
The lease begins August 8th, but the room is move in ready as of this week. Our landlord is extremely responsive to texts, takes good care of the property, and has been flexible on the length of the lease. Our current options are to sign an 8-month lease or a 12-month lease, which makes this place great for someone who might need to move by next summer.
