Hey, y'all!
We are seeking someone to replace our roommate in a 3bd/2.5ba townhouse in Redwood City on January 1, 2024.
The space is a two-story house nestled in the Palm Park neighborhood, about 1.5 miles from downtown Redwood City.
All the common spaces are downstairs (living room, dining nook, kitchen, guest bathroom).
There is a washer & dryer in-unit and a 2-car garage (we rotate who gets to use the garage and honestly just text each other when someone really needs it).
There is street parking, but it can be hit or miss (depending on when you try to find a spot).
THE SPACE:
The house is very lived-in -- it's furnished (too furnished, actually -- Marie Kondo followers, please turn your eyes away!). The kitchen is fully stocked, there is a supply closet full of anything you could possibly think of needing, and the living room is adorned with a nice TV, game consoles, and a bunch of movies. Feel free to play interior decorator, though! The floor plan is oddly shaped, so I just shoehorn my furniture into it in ways that (mostly) make sense.
You would be occupying one of the rooms and sharing a bathroom with one other person. With our guest half-bathroom downstairs, there is never any scenario where we are "waiting in line" to use the bathroom, which is great!
ABOUT US:
We are two male working professionals in our late 20's (1 Stanford employee, 1 Stanford Postdoc). We're chill, low-key, on the more introverted side. Our hobbies fluctuate between exploring different areas in the region and spending time at home watching TV, depending on our schedules. We are friendly and happy to build a small community, but we also respect your space and privacy, so feel free to be as present or reclusive as you'd like! We are a clean bunch, but we understand that life can get busy, so things like a couple dishes in the sink or leaving a mug out on the coffee table are fine.
I am here about half the time (I travel a lot for work and family shindigs), so I swing between being a homebody and not being there at all. The other roommate is typically home all week and likes to wind down watching TV in the living room, but is often out finding new restaurants and experiences on the weekends.
LOGISTICS:
Looking forward to connecting and gaining an awesome new roommate!
