CEO- E-COMMERCE CLIMATE TECH STARTUP

Planet Cents is a pre-seed stage, for-profit, global e-Commerce marketplace startup. Our mission: reverse climate change with sustainable purchasing, and make this the norm. www.PlanetCents.us We are ground floor, needing investors for our platform build.

This role can begin as full-time (preferred,) or part-time if necessary. It will begin as a consultant under a 3-month contract to ensure a fit, and once that is established, become the CEO. It is virtual to start, eventually transitioning to a central headquarters.

The CEO will manage the overall operations of the company as well as develop and implement strategies that meet the needs of the customers, the stakeholders, and the employees. They will be responsible for making key decisions, alongside the Founder.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• All of the usual responsibilities for a CEO ~ especially those required in launching a ground floor startup.
• Depending upon your competencies and skills, and that of our Founder, division, and sharing of responsibilities will be negotiated.
• You secure funding via your existing investor network!
• Take the lead across all aspects of the company - particularly e-commerce, operations, finance, and tech
• Make key decisions that will affect the company's direction, working deciding these collaboratively with the Founder
• Build a diverse, equitable, ethical, inclusive, positive, and productive culture, with integrity at its base, and a commitment to excellence

QUALIFICATIONS:

4. Startup success, passion, and skills
5. Proven success scaling a global company or large division of a company from its inception
6. E-Commerce expertise and experience
7. Managerial expertise/experience, collaborative, “servant leader” style – minimum of 15 years
8. Substantial financial experience and expertise
9. Evidence of successful operations and business management savvy
10. Knowledge of and experience in procurement and with supply chains
11. Strong negotiation skills
12. Unrelenting intention and passion to reverse our global climate crisis, and knowledge of climate change

15. Acceptance of diversity
16. Ability to work as an equal with a strong, independent female Founder

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

1. Be an investor and/or have an existing network
2. Experience in the environmental, climate change, tech, HR, and/or retail space

COMPENSATION:

Initial pay will be equity, (equity/salary once funded.) The equity will be decided based on some factors, which will not be known until mutual exploratory interviews yield the necessary information to make this decision.
