We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team at Stanford for an exciting project focused on developing solutions to prevent chemotherapy-induced alopecia (CIA). The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting cellular assays and analyzing experimental data to advance our understanding of the mechanisms involved and support preclinical development efforts.

This position is ideal for an undergraduate or recent graduate with hands-on experience in cell-based assays who is eager to contribute to groundbreaking research in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cell culture and maintain cell lines.
• Conduct PCR and related molecular biology techniques.
• Use microscopy for imaging and data collection.
• Perform cell viability and cytotoxicity assays, including LDH and Alamar Blue-based assays.
• Analyze experimental data and prepare reports to share with the research team.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and optimize protocols.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or recent graduate in a relevant field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences).
  -Strong hands-on experience with cell culture, PCR, and microscopy.
• Proficiency with LDH and Alamar Blue-based assays.
• Experience in data analysis and interpretation (e.g., Excel, GraphPad Prism, or similar tools).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced research environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
