The Role

Floodgate is looking for a Chief of Staff to work directly with co-founding partner, Mike
Maples Jr. A few of Mike’s notable investments included Twitter, Twitch, Okta, and
Applied Intuition.

This is a full-time, in-person role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will work
with Mike most hours of the day across investing, diligence, company building, and
continuously raising the bar for how Floodgate operates as a fund. This is not a 9–5
role; the right candidate will be excited to work both smart and hard.

What You’ll Do

Be a Force-Multiplier for Mike Maples Jr
● Partner with Mike on daily prioritization, decision-making, and execution
● Translate high-level strategy and ideas into concrete actions and follow-through
● Ensure nothing important drops while moving fast

Investing & Founder Support
● Support sourcing, evaluation, and diligence of early-stage startups ● Help prepare for founder meetings, partner discussions, and investment decisions ● Track insights across founders, markets, and emerging patterns
