We have some space opening up in our quiet & cozy home at the end of the month. We’re open to shorter or longer-term (ideally at least ~6 months) starting in April 2026, but can also be a bit flexible with the start date.
The house is a lovely Eichler in a quiet neighborhood near a park and walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. 3 main bedrooms plus a guest room & office, a nicely furnished common space, big windows, and a very well-stocked kitchen. Plus, an awesome little backyard with lounge furniture, fruit trees, a ping pong table, pizza oven, lots of plants, and some exercise equipment (treadmill, stationary bike, yoga mat etc.) We also have 2 affectionate indoor cats but they can be kept out of your room if you prefer.
Our group: mainly Stanford researchers / graduate students in our 20s-30s. We generally like to be a friendly/social home, and often will hang out a bit in the evenings to cook or do crossword puzzles etc. together and have friends over for drinks. Of course we are also sometimes busy with work or doing our own things nights and weekends, and keep it pretty quiet/lowkey generally during the week. We'd like to find a roommate who is also interested in maintaining a chill, sociable home environment :)
Location: We live near the San Antonio Caltrain stop, so it's about a 15 minute bike+train to Stanford (or 15-20 drive). Plenty of parking in the driveway if you have a car, but def not necessary for access to Stanford, grocery stores, restaurants etc.
Rent ~$1300 (depending on the configuration, possible to be a bit lower, can discuss this more). One other detail is that we have plenty of extra furniture in case you'll need bed/linens/desk or anything like that.
