I’m looking for a housemate to replace me in a sunny, spacious, comfy, and quiet second-story apartment in Menlo Park on Waverley St. The apartment is close to the park, the river, downtown Palo Alto, and Stanford, and the neighborhood is quite running/biking friendly. Your would-be housemate is a research assistant in genetics at Stanford, and they’re a friendly, active, communicative, tidy, plant-loving, and all-around excellent housemate (they/them). I’m moving out due to a career change. The lease ends on August 31 (~5 months from now), and I’m flexible with the start date (April 15, May 1) and touring. Some of the images are from the original posting, and the rest are as the house is now! The bedroom itself is quite large (130-140sqft, easily fits a king-sized bed) as well as having a large closet. Also, comes with a free parking spot in a carport. If desired, the whole apartment if up for rent after this ~4mo period. There's a washer/dryer in the building, along with a large bike closet. This would come with necessary furniture if desired. This would be good for folks looking for a short-term stay. Also, there is an option to continue the lease but you would need to find a replacement housemate as well. The rent is $1775, and you can expect to pay <$100 in utilities.
