Furnished bedroom for one person available NOW in my home located in pleasant, safe South Palo Alto neighborhood. Share hall bath with 2 other renters. Both current renters are SU postdoc biomedical lab researchers, female, one international, one So. Cal, in their late 20’s/early 30’s.

Room is approx. 12 x 12 feet with built-in closet, extralong twin chestbed, sturdy work table, office chair, large dresser, wall-hung bookshelves, cabinets, and drawers. Pleasant view of lush garden from bedroom window. Bedding and towels provided if needed.

Full use of fully-equipped kitchen (provided you clean up after you cook!), dining/living area, patio/garden, and in-house washer/drier included. Common areas are high-ceilinged, spacious, and sunlit! Water and energy conservation essential. Driveway and/or street parking available plus uncovered outdoor space to store bicycle.

Sorry, no pets, no smoking/drugs. Occasional overnight guests and small dinner parties ok by prior arrangement.

Home is about 15 minutes by car/20 minutes by bike to Stanford.

I, the homeowner, am an active retiree, female, former ESL teacher, former software co-entrepreneur, world traveler, busy with many activities and interests. I occupy the master suite and a studio/office in converted garage. I have been renting rooms for over 18 years.

Rent is $1400 a month, which INCLUDES ALL UTILITIES (room has individual thermostat for HEATING and AIR CONDITIONING as well as radiant heating), WIFI, AND REGULAR HOUSEKEEPING IN COMMON AREAS AND BATHROOM. First and last month's rent plus $450 security deposit required to move in.

Stay of AT LEAST SIX MONTHS PREFERRED.
