Hi everyone,

I am a postdoctoral researcher from Germany and will be coming to Stanford University as a J-1 Short-Term Scholar for a research stay. I am looking for housing from September 1 to November 30, 2026.

I would be especially happy to find a quiet and private place, such as a small studio, ADU, in-law unit, guest suite, or a private room with a private bathroom and/or private entrance. Reliable internet and some basic cooking facilities or a kitchenette would be very helpful.

I would prefer a location close to Stanford University or with a reasonable bike/public transportation commute.

My budget is ideally around $2,000-$2,600/month, depending on location, privacy, and included utilities.

I will be traveling alone, do not smoke, and would be a quiet, clean, and reliable tenant. I can provide an official Stanford invitation letter as proof of my affiliation. I do not have my Stanford email address yet, but expect to receive it soon.
