Imagine living in a private, picturesque cottage right near Stanford’s campus knowing that your rent is made affordable by helping a lovely older adult couple age in place. Our host is looking for a kind, conscientious student to join their household and maybe become friends along the way.

How it works:
You pay $1,700 in rent at the start of each month. In return, you're guaranteed a minimum of 10-15 hours of work per week at $25/hour — enough to make the rent affordable by month's end. This setup is designed for someone who wants a flexible, low-overhead lifestyle with a sense of purpose built in.

About the Host:
Our host couple are former English teachers and longtime world travelers who owned a Palo Alto boutique before retiring. Warm and intellectually curious, they love conversation, gardening, music, and connecting with people from all walks of life. The husband has lived with Parkinson's disease for many years, though he remains remarkably active and engaged. Together, their goal is simply to age gracefully in the home they love.
