$1,701
Hi everyone!
My wonderful roommate, Jowa, is leaving me for a fellowship in another state (the betrayal, I know π), so I'm looking for someone to take over her spot in our apartment, starting sometime between June 25 and July 1, ideally with plans to stay long-term (β₯1 year).
We live in a 2 bed / 2 bath apartment at Stanford Villa in Palo Alto. The available room is the non-master bedroom with its own private bathroom across the hallway, and rent is $1,701/month.
Apartment highlights:
Spacious living room, dining room, and kitchen
Very large shared balcony
Third-floor unit
About a 12-minute drive to the Med campus at Stanford
Multiple laundry rooms throughout the complex
Gym with treadmills and weights
Three swimming pools
Bike storage
Located right next to Grocery Outlet (perfect for those 9:30pm βI forgot to buy milkβ emergencies)
Utilities (including internet) average about $110/person/month, increasing by approximately $20-60 during the winter. We also have a monthly cleaning service that costs $45/person for common spaces with an optional additional $30 for your bedroom and bathroom. The unit comes with one assigned parking spot, which I currently pay for and use. Additional parking may be available through the apartment complex's waiting list. My current roommate has always preferred just parking on the nearby side streets.
About me:
30-year-old 5β0β Portuguese pastel de nata π΅πΉ
Postdoc at Stanford SoM
Lived in Germany for 4.5 years and have been in the U.S. for 3 years
Fairly tidy and value keeping shared spaces clean and respectful
Non-smoker and don't drink
Fan of a good morning workout
Love trying out new restaurants, going to concerts, plays, hiking, traveling, painting in the park, and gardening (with limited success on our very sunny balcony). Iβm also a huge fan of dancing ππ½ β any style, really β but especially Latin dances and even more especially Salsa. Equally important though is the occasional afternoon spent doing absolutely nothing and contemplating life. π
Iβm looking for someone who is female (strong preference), late 20s to late 30s, clean and tidy, respectful of shared spaces, and generally considerate with noise. Bonus points if you dance too and if you have no plans of leaving for a fellowship in another state anytime soon. Donβt think I could handle this againβ¦
If you'd like to learn more, see photos, or schedule an in-person or Zoom tour, feel free to reach out!
Best,
Raquel
