Hi, I'm starting a job at Stanford University as a campus construction manager. The job starts July 6th and I'll be moving to the area on July 2nd. I'm looking for a place in the San Mateo, Redwood City, or Belmont area as that seems to be a reasonable distance to both campus where i'll work and the San Mateo County beaches where I like to surf. Bonus points if the place is close to a Caltrain station, the 280 freeway, or the 101 freeway.

-31 years old, male, Stanford alumni
-civil engineer
-hobbies include surfing, gardening, and hiking
-Served in the US Coast Guard for 10 years
-No pets, non-smoker, and no drug use
-Responsible tenant/roommate, also a homeowner so pretty handy with house repairs

For a studio or 1bd 1ba place, i'd consider up to $2700. For an individual room in a larger house/apartment anything under $2200 sounds good. For lease length anywhere from 6 months to 1 year is good.
