JamesOn Curry scored a career-high 35 points and Oklahoma State tested its depth in a 95-73 win against TexasA M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday night. The Cowboys (8-0) played the final 6:29 with only five players after Mario Boggan became the third player to foul out. David Monds and Kenny Cooper, the team's starting forwards, preceded him. But by that point, the Cowboys - already without Marcus Dove due to an injury - were already up by 23 points and committed only one foul after that, preventing first-year coach Sean Sutton from removing the redshirts on freshmen Andy Shaw and Scott Warner. Terrel Harris added 20 points, one off his career high, while Byron Eaton had a season-high 13 points and Obi Muonelo scored 12 for Oklahoma State. Boggan, the Cowboys' leading scorer with a 21-point average, finished with 10 points in his first game coming off the bench at Oklahoma State. The Cowboys put the game away with a 14-1 run early in the second half that included a jumper and a three-point play by Curry. Oklahoma State led 67-40 after Curry fed Boggan for a layup with about 13 minutes to play. Curry surpassed his season-high with 24 points on 8-for-12 shooting in the first half as the Cowboys built a 50-34 advantage. His 3-pointer with 6:52 remaining put him past his previous high of 30 points, last season against Mercer. Scooby Johnson led the Islanders with 15 points, Chris Daniels scored 14 and Josh Washington added 13. The Islanders (3-1), who had a school-record eight-game winning streak snapped, committed 21 turnovers that led to 28 Cowboys points. Oklahoma State took advantage of five early TexasA M-Corpus Christi turnovers to score the first nine points on three 3-pointers. The lead reached 20-9 on Muonelo's layup before the Islanders came back with nine straight points, capped by Washington's 3-pointer.
