Oklahoma State junior midfielder Yolanda Odenyo was named First Team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, it was announced today. The Uppsala, Sweden native garnered the first NSCAA All-America honor in the history of the Oklahoma State women's soccer program. Odenyo, the Big 12 Co-Player of the Year, scored five goals and recorded eight assists on the season to lead the Cowgirls with 18 points. Odenyo helped guide OSU to a second-place finish in the Big 12 standings. Odenyo was one of just two players from the Big 12 to receive first team honors. Sophomore defender Kasey Moore from Texas was also named to the first team. The Cowgirls finished the season with a 17-3-3 record and were eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Tournament by regional host Clemson. "It is an incredible achievement for Yolanda to be recognized in such an elite group of players," OSU co-head coach Colin Carmichael said.
