As Wal-Mart goes, so goes the rest of the retailing industry this holiday season, right? Not this year. Tracy L. Clark, Associate Director for the JPMorgan Chase Economic Outlook Center at the W. P. Carey School of Business, explains that retailers are benefiting from a dip in gas prices and from real wage gains, as well as an extra weekend to shop.
