<p>James R. Carey is Professor of Entomology and Program Director, Biodemographic Determinants of Life Span at the University of California, Davis. He earned his PhD at UC-Berkeley. His broad range of research projects at Davis, Berkeley, Stanford, and Arizona reflects the interdisciplinary nature of biodemography.</p><BR/>
