Price: $900
I'm looking for someone to move into my apartment starting September 1 (possibly earlier) for $900 per month plus utilities plus a $1350 deposit.
About the place: This apartment is in a great location, walking distance from the shops on California Avenue and its Caltrain station and convenient to Stanford. It's a spacious and light two bedroom, one bathroom apartment (you would have the larger of the two rooms) with a dishwasher and air conditioner. I've managed to (mostly) furnish the living room and get everything for the kitchen. Your room has a queen-sized mattress and a small computer desk but is otherwise unfurnished. The only major drawback is that the carpet has definitely seen better days, but I've found some rugs so it's really not so bad.
About me: I'm a male PhD student at Stanford in Environmental Engineering. I'm Australian, but I've spent a good deal of time in Germany and about a year in the US. I moved here about a month ago and moved in with some friends who needed a place to stay for the summer, but they're set to move out by the end of August, thus the need for a new roommate. I'm mostly quiet, but enjoy having roommates I can talk to a bit. I'm pretty easy-going.
About you: You're a non-smoking, non-drug-using (well, apart from alcohol) person who can be pretty relaxed when you need to be. Male or female is OK. If you're two people (i.e. a couple) then that's OK too, I currently live with a couple and the situation works fine.
