My boyfriend and I are driving from Palo Alto to Florida, beginning Monday June 9th at around dinnertime (7pm). We are taking the southern route (I-10) across the country and looking for 1-2 new friends to travel and share gas costs. We will be passing through the northern edge of Los Angeles, also through Phoenix, Tuscon, El Paso, San Antonio, Houston, New Orleans, Mobile, Pensacola, and Tallahassee, and Tampa. Our route is as follows:

Monday: Palo Alto to Bakersfield/SoCal

Tuesday: SoCal to El Paso, Texas (by way of Arizona)

Wednesday: Texas to New Orleans

Thursday: New Orleans to South Florida

We are willing to take you for any distance that you'd like, we are just sleeping in the cities of Bakersfield, El Paso & New Orleans, so you would need to arrange your own room if you are going overnight with us (we stay at Days Inn-type hotels). If you want to go all the way or only part, that is OK. The car is a compact SUV, so room for ourselves plus one or two more adults with light luggage (1-2 bags each). We are two 23-year old grad students, non-smokers and like to talk, listen to movies, watch DVDs on the laptop, or just space out in the car.
