This charming separate studio-cottage is behind my Nantucket style
home in the most prestigious area of Palo Alto, a very quiet residential
neighborhood convenient to everything: downtown, Midtown, Cal-Train, and
Stanford. It is only 1.5 miles to the center of campus;
5 min. by car and 10 min. by bike. Also easy access to 101 and 280. It is
light and bright, situated in a private serene park-like garden. Fully
furnished with style and quality! The main living area has a vaulted
ceiling, a leather sofa, table and chairs, bookcase, single bed (optional)
and space for your own desk. The bathroom has a tub/shower, fan/heat lamp.
The kitchen has a Maytag refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishes,
flatware/cookware. Cable and DSL are available. A great laundromat, deli,
coffee-shops and stores are only blocks away. Bike storage outside.
Parking on street. Small and efficient: delightful for one very quiet
person. No smoking. No pets. $1100 + $100 utilities per month. Available
June 6th for
a year lease or longer. Call Yuki 480-227-0276 until June for appointment
to see, then call Sharleen for an appointment to see the studio-cottage:
650-321-7029.
I've lived here since August of 2009, and I wanted a quiet place to study and apply for grad school. I was accepted to my top choices and have to leave for a summer internship. It's the perfect place to have privacy, and I love to cook so that's been wonderful too! Spring, Summer and Autumn is especially delightful as the owner has an award winning garden that the cottage looks out on! I worked on Stanford University campus, and it's a 12 minute bike ride to center of campus, and I could walk to California Ave Caltrain in 15 minutes...amazing access to restaurants, Sunday farmer's market, yoga studio, and fun bars! You can't go wrong @ this place! Downtown Palo Alto is only 20 minutes away by bike, with access to Borders, Apple Store, etc.
