Very large (18' x 12') bedroom in friendly group house in Menlo Park available for 7-week summer sublet. Room has 2 closets, 2 windows, and is fully furnished (double bed, nightstand, dresser, bookshelf, desk, chair, lamps.) The house is 6 bedrooms, 2.5 baths. Your 5 housemates would be a mixture of male and female grad students and young professionals in their 20s. Share a kitchen, dining room, living room, sunroom, dishwasher, washer and dryer, TV (no cable), DVD player, and karaoke machine. :) Beautiful front and back yards, patio with furniture and grill. Parking space available in driveway or garage.

House is conveniently located in Willows neighborhood of Menlo Park. On a quiet cul-de-sac in a suburban neighborhood, but with a small grocery and a few restaurants only 3 blocks away. Very close to 101--only 35 minutes to San Francisco and 20 minute bike ride or 20 minute drive to Stanford.

I'm looking for just one person (even though the room is huge, the house isn't really big enough for more than 6 people), someone fun and responsible who will take care of my room and be nice to my housemates, and will be cool about sharing expenses and cleaning duties with them. I would prefer a woman in her late 20s, but I'll consider others.

The rent is $730/month, so for the full 7 weeks, you'd pay $1150. If you wouldn't be here for the full time, we can talk about prorating the rent, but of course I will have a preference for someone who can stay the whole time. I would like for you to pay $730 to my landlord for each of July and August and then I'll return $310 to you when I get back if there's no damage. You would also pay 1/6 of utilities (electric and internet)--in the summer, your share should only be around $20-30 per month. We can split August.
