A review for reading:
I brought this iron, after a LOT of nagging the other half!! I had decided that the old one was just full of scale, and no amount of de-scaleing worked.
The model number is slightly different from the catagory I have put it under, but I can assure you that I looked at both models, and the only difference was it had an extra button, and the price! The extra button is on top next to the water spray, and is for the steam. And it was ????5.00 more!!
The model I got is great, it is sssoooooo nice to use, and has cut my ironing time in half. The sole plate is like a non stick saucepan (if you know what I mean!) Same sort of dark grey colour! It has a water spray, no steam, steam and steam boost. Also the settings for heat are easy to see and understand, no excuses for burning clothes as it tells you the heat for the material!! it has the normal indicator light, and a SELF CLEAN bit! and it comes with a water jug, and has quite a long flex.
The iron itself heats up VERY quickly, it just glides over all fabrics. I ironed over a label (accidently, it should not have been in the way!!) and it melted it slightly, BUT there was NO MARKS on the sole plate! I dont have to try and put my FULL body weight on to the iron to get creases out of work shirts!! it just gets rid of them as soon as I iron over them! Its great!!
The only thing that I dont like..... is that I have been used to an iron that gives a BIG boost of steam, and you hear it, This iron you dont really notice it, but then again, you dont really need it as it is so good anyway!!
can be picked up on campus, around where Avery pool is.
