We're looking for a new housemate for the next year, July 1st start, for our downtown Palo Alto house.
We're a medical student, a medicine resident, and a grad student -- one woman, two men, all early 30s. And Willow, our cat (who wants to be friends with pretty much all humans). It's a fairly quiet house, as we have to be places in the early AM many days, but socializing does occur (no indoor-smoking/drugs).

One of our upstairs rooms is being sublet for the summer (posted in a different ad). This ad is for a different, more unusual living space.

The basement of the house has a separate entrance and is effectively a separate semi-finished place -- as big as most of the upstairs house shared space combined, plus you'd have full use of said shared house space.
Low monthly rent of $600+utilities (~$50-75 per person per month) because of the semi-finished-ness (see pics), plus the fact that bathrooms are upstairs. Current tenant loves the space but is moving in with partner by July 1st -- he's happy to give a testimonial if need be.

The house:

• 5-10 min bike or car ride from Stanford campus
• 10 min walk from Palo Alto Caltrain station, 5 min walk from University Ave
• block-size grassy/tree-y public park on the corner
• plenty of free street parking
• covered front porch w/rocking chairs, front yard with flowers, herbs, tomatoes, whatever people feel like growing
• fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, 2 fridges, freezer (+additional freezer in basement), microwave, etc.) with adjoining breakfast room
• washer/dryer
• one full bathroom and one half bathroom
• dining room
• a living room with TV/cable and DVD player
• wireless Internet
