Here we have a bike that will work for you as is, but will need work. It's a Javelin Narni. It's geometry is somewhere between a road frame and time trial; it's downtube is nearly flat. Aluminum frame with carbon seat stays: very light weight. Still runs even if it hasn't been tuned up since before covid. Hasn't been my primary bike for many years, but I've ridden it for a few weeks last year when my main bike was in the shop. Despite the dings in the frame, there have been no crashes. A triple ringset up front that does not shift... I assume that's the shifter's fault. Feels like something is slipping inside. Chain is stuck on the granny gear, so you won't be able to race fast with it stuck there, or climb steep hills, but if you're just getting around flat campus, you'll be good. Would cost maybe $50 - $75 to find a replacement shifter on ebay. Equipped with the Shimano Flightdeck shifters, which were shifters that could be wired into a bike computer (not included, no idea what happened to it). The wires are not installed but included. The cross-top brakes on the handlebars are good, but the pins that are the fulcrum of the levers started slipping. There might be a smarter repair than to wrap them in electrical tape, but I'm not that smart and that's what I did. Fork is carbon fiber and steerer is aluminum. Most carbon bits are carbon-wrapped aluminum. I liked the bling. Dual clip-in/stirrup pedals. Look at the pictures for details. Buy it as-is, pump up the tires and it will get you around, but take it to the local bike shop. You'll want a new chain, cables and maybe cable housings. Tires and innertubes are old, will want replacing. Find a replacement shifter, clean it up, cut down the steerer (I had it high because of my back) and you'll have a light, fast, good-looking bike. Be the envy of your friends. Not currently on campus but if you buy it, I can bring it on a weekend (Saturday preferred). Cash is great, but I can take Venmo as well.
