I am moving in with my girlfriend and would love to find a new awesome roommate to replace me. I will be missing this house quite a bit. Here is why:
IDEAL LOCATION:
- You are less than a mile away from the 85, which means that you can hop on the 101, 280 or 237 easily.
- I drive to work downtown San Jose, and it takes me 12 minutes (I timed it).
- It takes me about 20 minutes to go to Palo Alto for dinner and all.
- It takes me 5 minutes to go to Downtown Mountain View, even during rush hour.
- There is a Trader Joe's 5 minutes away.
- The neighborhood is really calm and beautiful, and you'll love to just stroll around it.
- The San Antonio Reserve is around the corner if you like short hikes or trail running.
IDEAL HOUSE:
- There are 2 living rooms: one with a fireplace, ideal to have people over, and one with the TV, and large couch, perfect for movie nights.
- There is a dinning room too!
- There is a nice backyard, with a herb garden, a cherry tree, a large patio with cute little lamps for summer nights, and a large gas grill.
IDEAL ROOM:
- Put simply, you get the best room in the house.
- It is very large, with your own walk in closet, your own bathroom, no shared walls with any other bedrooms, super sunny, your own deck to sun bath, put your road bike, etc.
IDEAL ROOMMATES:
Come meet the crew! You have a young group of relaxed men and women, in their late 20's / early 30's. You have a psych PHD student, a geology PHD now becoming a lawyer, a Lockheed engineer, etc.
The house is large enough that you do not feel you are on top of one another. You would have your own "quarters". But even you'll want to hang out with your new roommates anyway, make dinner together, etc.
PRICE AND MOVING IN:
- Ideally you would move in between now and March 1st. We would pro-rate the rent and all.
- The rent is $1,575 and the bedroom does not come furnished. However, we can negotiate this as I am flexible in case you need it furnished, or want to buy the furniture.
- Utilities vary, and are higher in the winter than in the summer, but it averages around $40 / $60 per month per person. This covers internet, electricity, water, garbage, the gardeners, etc.
Anyway, you can see why I will miss the house. Shoot me an email with some information about you, and come visit the house. If you get along with the other roommates, this may become your new home, you lucky you.
