I can understand that you'd want proof that this unit works when plugged into an electric outlet, that's not a problem.
If you don't have a car, then I could drive (deliver) it to you and you can verify it works by running an extension cord from a nearby power source. Or if you have a car then you could come to my complex (near University/101 in East Palo Alto) or I could drive it to my office (SEQ on campus) on a non-busy time like a weekend.
