Live-in work exchange (reduced rent in exchange for daily pet care)

We are looking for a live-in helper. In-law unit with private entry and small yard $1000/mo (utilities included), in exchange for daily help totaling approximately 10 hours per week, mostly caring for rescues and our pets, as well as doing some yard work, (possibly some house work, errands, and occasional babysitting).

Location: in-law unit in a home near Woodside High School. 10 minutes from Stanford. Near 280 and 84.

In-law unit:
-Private entry
-Small fenced yard
-Kitchen with full sized appliances: refrigerator, oven, stove, sink, microwave
-Private washer and dryer
-Marble tile bathroom has shower over soaker tub
-Hardwood floors throughout
-Construction was completed 2013, so the apartment is 8 years new.

Most of the chores are relatively flexible hours, with some jobs that need to be done at specific times. Some of the chores include cage cleaning once a week (birds), and feeding and watering of the rescues and pets (daily).

Some of the work can be dirty, and can require strength, as well as careful attention to detail, and responsible care for the health and safety of the animals. It includes working with animals and feed that may be an issue for someone with allergies to those things.

The live-in job exchange isn't well suited to someone with a full-time job or who travels frequently, but may be great for a student or someone with a part-time job.

No smoking or drugs of any kind.
