Rent: $1385 + split utilities ($80-100 per person per month)
Hello apartment seekers!
My roommate (who has been living here for 2 years) is moving out, so I'm looking for a roommate to live with in an awesome 2 bed/1 bath apartment in Mountain View (near Whisman and Middlefield)!
The room:
The room is very spacious, unfurnished and is about 13x11.5 with a large closet along one wall (~6.5 ft long). It comfortably fits a dresser, bookshelf, queen sized bed, and still has floor space to spare. We have a balcony with beautiful plants you can see throughout the window :)
The apartment:
The apartment is ~750 sq ft in total, plus another balcony off the living room (in picture) looking out over trees and a small courtyard, and is on the top (2nd) floor. The apartment was renovated 3 years ago with new kitchen appliances, including an electric stove and dishwasher, and a modern bathroom.
It is 20min walking distance from the Mountain View Caltrain station and downtown Mountain View (~1 mile). There is a coin operated laundry room downstairs shared by only 3 apartments. You will have a dedicated, covered parking spot.
About me:
I am a female Stanford PhD alum in my early 30s working at Stanford as a research analyst. I cook lightly, keep common areas clean, and am a respectful roommate. I have had a great time with my previous roommate, occasionally baking together, eating together, and going to SF or hiking together.
About you:
I am looking for a friendly roommate who is responsible, respectful, keeps the common areas clean. Overnight guests are okay as long as we give each other a heads up and it is not more than 7 days out of the month (per the lease). I want us both to feel comfortable around each other and in the apartment to keep it feel like home where we can relax.
Move-in date: March 1st (though can be flexible a little bit around early March
Logistics: You will need to go through the application process with the landlord. Due upon move in is the first months rent and a security deposit equal to first month’s rent. The lease is month-to-month, with at least 30 days notice on move out, though I would prefer someone who can stay for at least 6 months by the end of summer (by the end of September). The property manager is great and very responsive. Sadly no pets allowed.
If you made it through all of this information and it sounds like a good fit to you, send me a message telling me a little about yourself, what you are looking for, and your expected move in date.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
