Description

Hi everyone!

I'm a postdoc at Stanford, and I have my DMV behind-the-wheel test scheduled for Monday, October 19, at 11:00 AM at the Redwood City DMV.

I have several years of driving experience outside the US, but I'd like some practice to get familiar with US traffic rules and Bay Area roads before my test.

I'm looking for:

  • Someone with a valid California driver's license who can accompany me to the DMV on test day.
  • A properly registered, insured, and reliable car that meets DMV test requirements.
  • Ideally, 2–3 one-hour driving practice sessions before the test.

Budget: Up to $220 total

  • $100 for test-day assistance, including use of the car.
  • $40 per hour for driving practice (up to $120 for three sessions).

Pickup from Stanford on test day would be preferred, but I can also meet directly at the DMV if that's more convenient.

If you're available or know someone reliable who could help, please DM me.

Thanks in advance!
