Make $10 for chatting with a friend, or for making a new friend!

The Stanford Talk Lab is looking for people to participate in a study about language. Participants bring a friend, family member, or significant other to the lab on the Stanford University campus and are video-recorded talking with them about a variety of topics. The experiment lasts 45 min. Participants and their friends each receive $10 for doing the experiment.

We're also interested in studying how people interact with someone they've just met. In this experiment, we pair participants with a person they haven't met yet to talk for half an hour. This study also pays $10. Participants have the option to do one or both of these experiments.
