Opening for an unfurnished room in a furnished 5BR/3.5BA just off of Oregon and Alma, beginning in mid-January.

The spacious room could comfortably fit a queen bed, a medium to large desk, and dresser, and has a walk in closet and attached private full bathroom with double-sink, shower, and Jacuzzi. The room gets plenty of natural light through a large bay window that looks out onto the backyard/patio. Rent is $1600, in addition to utilities and internet that run about $60 per person depending on the season/heater use.

About the house: We are walking distance to the California Ave Caltrain (about 20 min), and Midtown Shopping Center. There is a washer and dryer in our spacious garage, with fruit trees and a garden in our backyard.

About the roommates: we are three girls and one guy--one grad student, two tech employees, and one in education policy research. The house has been a fairly communal/social space, but of the dinner party and game night kind, not the rager kind. We are often up until 10/11 on a weekday, 12/1 on a weekend hanging out together after work, playing Hanabi or watching some Game of Thrones, but we also have our separate social circles. We’re considerate of each other’s needs and feelings, ask how each other’s days went, and spend on average more time in the common space than in our own rooms.

One of the current roommates keeps kosher, meaning she has her own dishes, sink, and microwave. There is some additional consideration from all roommates necessary to make the arrangement work, and this is something that we are happy to work together on and always available to answer any questions about this.
