The second master suite in our home will be available for the school year to preferably a graduate student or visiting professor. We are a couple in our 30s with a 3 month old baby (who sleeps through the night and is very easy-going) and we'd like to open up our home to a Stanford student/professor. The room was originally designed for a live-in housekeeper so it has its own entrance and is on the ground floor separated from the other rooms, has windows on two sides and french doors. It is furnished with a comfortable queen bed, bedside table and lamp and has an attached bathroom with shower. There is use of the laundry, fully stocked kitchen and living room.
The home is a lovely older home in wonderful condition with hardwood floors and a big welcoming garden in a peaceful neighborhood. We are a relaxed couple getting to know our first child and enjoying balancing parenthood with a mellow social life. We often have family and friends over for dinner and enjoy cooking and BBQs in the garden. We are looking for a housemate who is friendly and mellow and possibly works long hours but needs to be near campus.
Street parking is ample and campus is just a short bike ride away. You can walk to Town & Country village in 10 minutes and WholeFoods/University Ave. in 15.
Rent is $1600/month,utilities and internet included.
