We have a room opening on Sept 1. Here are some details:

• Rent is $1600 / month + electricity + internet (~$50 / month - all other utilities included)
• Around 177ft sq
• Private bathroom w/ stand-up shower stall
• Private stairwell entrance from back patio
• Decently-sized closet
• Quiet neighborhood
• 5 minutes to Caltrain/downtown Menlo Park
• Laundry on-site
• Non-climate-controlled storage room
• Parking space for 1 additional car (2 total, we also have one)

The current arrangement with the existing tenant is that he pays less than we do, but we got to decorate/furnish the shared spaces as we pleased, because he was only here for a year. We have equal access to the kitchen, living/dining room, and patio area. The apartment was recently refurbished with new wood floors, marble counter tops, and the bathroom fixtures are new. There are windows on both sides of the apartment, but because our area is lush with vegetation, natural light is present, but not overwhelming.

You are:

• Ideally a working professional or grad student/fellow at Stanford
• Don't care about decoration (although I think we have okay taste) or have a lot of living room furniture
• Don't mind cats, but preferably likes them (we have one, she's the best - and never goes in the master bedroom)
• Mature and respectful of shared living spaces, noise, etc.
• Gender unimportant

We are:

• M+F couple in our early 30s
• F is postdoc in Stanford BioSciences, M is working professional
• Pretty chill, I'd like to think
• Interested in cooking, movies, music, podcasts, video games, hiking, and we both play ultimate frisbee competitively
• Flexible and respectful of space
• Here for at least one more year, hopefully longer
