Need help building the Double Slit experiment (single photon) at home

I would like to perform the famous Double Slit experiment, emitting a single photon at a time, at home. I have found a number of tutorials online on how it can be done, but the science is beyond me and I could use the assistance of someone, preferably a grad student in physics or a related study. I will pay whatever hourly rate you deem reasonable.
