This is a freshly remodeled and furnished room on the second floor of a single family home in one of Palo Alto's nicest neighborhoods. Quiet street, close to Rinconada Park, University Avenue, Town & Country. We, the owners (academic at Stanford + Silicon Valley professional + 2 kids), are living on the first floor. We are renting out two rooms on the second floor.

You enter the house through the main entry door and you proceed over the hard wooded hallway to the staircase that takes you to the second floor. You will have a lot of privacy upstairs. The room is furnished with a queen seize bed, a desk, a chair and a 6 ft closet. (Note: The furniture and home decor have been changed since the attached photo.) You can also rent the room unfurnished if desired. The bathroom for this room has been freshly remodeled and has a shower and two sinks. It opens from the hallway and is private, except during two two-week periods per year when the owners' relatives are visiting.

There are 2 other rooms on the same floor, one of which we are using as an office (infrequently), and the other as a room that we also rent out. (The other tenant has his/her own bathroom and will not use your bathroom.) We are providing a refrigerator, freezer and a microwave for the use of our guests on the second floor. There is no full kitchen. There is a washer and dryer on the first floor which you are welcome to use on a chosen weekday. We do not allow overnight guests in your room, but if one of the other rooms is available, your guest is welcome to rent it. You will enjoy great view of the garden, but there is no access to it.

Rent is $1,650 per month. This includes a weekly cleaning service, internet, utilities and the washer and dryer. One month deposit. Three months minimum. Single occupancy only. No pets. No smoking. Shoes off in the house.
