Looking for a female housemate who wants to be a part of a relaxed place to live where all housemates pitch in and are respectful of each other. We live in two-floor condo with 3 bedrooms and are looking for a housemate who is social, but also quiet and respectful of others.
We are tidy people who like to keep common areas clean (and clutter-free) and want a housemate who is similar: keeps kitchen /bathroom counters clean and washes dishes after each meal.
We prefer to watch TV online in our rooms and would prefer someone who does not watch a lot of TV in common areas. We both work a regular M-F type job and would prefer someone on a somewhat similar schedule so we see each other fairly regularly and don't accidentally disturb bedtimes! Having said all that, we care more that you are tidy/clean, respectful and communicate well (but non-cigarette smokers please)!
You must love cats as I have two very friendly, affectionate cats who will want your attention. While we love pets, we can't add any more to the house.
Your room is on the smaller side, but it can fit a queen bed and some furniture. There is also ample storage/space throughout the house and in the garage. You will share a bathroom with the other housemate and there is a guest bathroom downstairs. Utilities run around $65/month/person for Internet, electricity, gas and water. The house is fully furnished, so you would only need to furnish your room.
A little about me: I an ex-teacher who still works in education. I am outdoorsy, active and social, but during the week I like to come home from my commute and relax or go to the gym/track. The other housemate works in Sunnyvale Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 to around 6:30pm. She enjoys outdoor sports and live music.
We are hopeful that there is a good fit out there and we will take our time finding it. The rent is $775 with a $775 security deposit. You would need to sign a year lease and then it is month to month after that. If interested please reply with a little bit about yourself and what you are looking for in a living situation.
