$1000/mo, Santa Clara
Hello! Female preferred. Great for a Stanford employee or Grad student. We're looking to rent out one unfurnished bedroom in a 3 bedroom house -- the room will be available on April 19 (and we'd like to have it occupied no later than May 1!). The bedroom should fit a standard full or queen bedroom set. The room has a ton of light. Bathroom is shared with one clean roommate. Full access to fully furnished kitchen (yes, that means FULL kitchen privileges, none of that "light cooking only" crap) and living room, washer and dryer (no coins!), and a garage for storage. Tons of street parking. We're also about ready to plant our vegetable garden for the year (it was INSANE last year -- we had to give stuff away) and have a small BBQ, both of which will be at your disposal. We split utilities (cable, internet, water, gas, electricity), which usually run about $75-80 per person.
About us:
We are two women in our early 30's. Both work full time. When home, we'll often watch TV or a movie together, or make/get dinner; however, like most people, we also respect that sometimes everyone just needs some alone time. We'll have friends over for dinner, to BBQ, or to watch a movie, but aren't into loud parties. Roommate #1 works at Stanford in facilities maintenance, likes to run, work out, and hike, eat cookies, and is trying to get back into drawing and playing music. Roommate #2 is a public interest attorney who likes to cook, do DIY projects, watch crappy TV, hit up music venues, and explore the Bay Area.
What we're looking for:
+Female preferred
+Long term
+Someone who knows how to clean up after themselves and participate in household chores without being told to do so, we don't want to be one of those houses that assigns chores.
+Someone who is easy to get along with. We don't expect you to be our best friend, but we'd like to avoid the awkwardness of living with someone you can't have a conversation with.
+No drugs (sorry, not even weed)
+No pets (we wish we could have them, but our landlord won't let us)
+Friends hanging out and overnight guests are fine as long as they're respectful and we know they're here
If this sounds like what you're looking for in housemates, email and tell us about yourself (interests, lifestyle and habits, or what you're looking for in roommates. Remember we will be living together so compatibility is important). We want to decide soon so contact us ASAP! We are available to show the room and talk during the evenings and most weekends. Looking forward to hearing from you!
