Description

Overview

Viruses cause, or highly associate with, Burkitt lymphoma, cervical, gastric, and many other cancers.

The World Health Organization estimates that 15.4% of all cancers are attributable to infection in general and 9.9% to viruses.

What's the relationship between breast cancer and viruses?

Our group conducted a systemic review of breast cancer + viruses, and is nearly done.

Ultimately, our goal is to sequence 1K tumor samples and offer the data to Stanford/Harvard PIs for further study. This review is a key piece of the initiative.
